Top Ten Misquoted Scriptures – Part 1

1. “Money is the root of all Evil”
This is not what the Bible says. This is a misquotation of:
I Timothy 6:10 – For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

2. “The Truth shall set you Free”
This is not what the Bible says. This is a misquotation of:
John 8:31 – Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

3. “Closed in his right mind”
This is not what the Bible says. This is a misquotation of:
Luke 8:35 – Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

The Father turned His back on Jesus
